The tempting version
The obvious feature is an AI that answers your sponsorship emails. It would demo beautifully: a deal comes in, the AI negotiates the rate, you wake up to a signed brief. Every pitch deck version of this product had that slide at some point.
I built the opposite, and I want to be clear that it wasn't an accident or a missing feature. There is no tool inside CreatorBase that can send an email to a brand. Not disabled — absent.
The edge case that decided it
A brand relationship is money and reputation in the same envelope. The AI can misread tone, quote a rate that undercuts you, agree to exclusivity it didn't understand, or just sound like a bot — and any one of those, once, can end a relationship that took years to earn. The cost of one bad automated reply is bigger than the value of a hundred convenient ones.
There's a nastier edge case underneath: if an AI can reply to inbound email, then anyone who can get an email into your inbox can try to talk it into things. The safest reply tool is the one that doesn't exist.
What actually happens
You forward a brand email into CreatorBase, or set your inbox to auto-forward. Friday reads what arrives and sorts it. Anything that smells like money is flagged in your morning brief: who sent it, what they want, and a suggested next step. Then it stops.
You decide, and you send the reply, in your voice, from your inbox. Friday never negotiates, never quotes a rate, and never commits you to anything. Deals are surfaced, never handled — that line is in the codebase as doctrine, and it's enforced by the absence of the tool, not by a polite instruction the AI could ignore.
